Proclaiming Liberty: A Blog for People Recovering from the Occult

If you are into the occult, coming out of the occult, or recovering from the occult, then you have stumbled upon this blog for a reason.

Hi, curious readers. You did not land on this blog by chance. God has a purpose for you to be here right now.

Let me introduce myself. I go by Gabriella Claire. To be 100% honest with you, this is not my real name, but only my screen name. Those who have come out of the occult will understand that there are various legitimate reasons to remain pseudonymous.

The short version of my testimony is that I was raised a Christian, delved into New Age ideas and practices, wound up in a crisis of faith, and joined a cult that caused me to have traumatic spiritual experiences. The good news is that God was looking out for me, and Jesus delivered me. After leaving the cult and turning my life to Christ, it took a while for me to completely leave New Age ideas and practices behind as God gradually revealed His truth to me.

Ever since Christ set me free from the occult, I have desired to help others who have come from similar situations because God has placed compassion in my heart to do so. Recently, I looked on the Internet to see if there is a Christian support group for people recovering from the occult, and I was surprised not to have readily found anything. (If you do know of such a group, please comment that information below this post). Needless to say, there are a lot of questioning, confused, conflicted, and traumatized souls out there who are not getting the help that they need. While I am not necessarily qualified to make this an official support group, here is what I will offer:

1: Posts about my testimony and experiences with the occult.

2: Posts offering a fresh perspective on why the occult is false. You won’t just get a “Don’t do it because I said so” from me. I will share insights that God has given me on the subject.

3: You may contact me with prayer requests, if you need a friend to confide in, or if you need to ask questions. E-mail me at:

gabriella.claire33@gmail.com

I will attempt to check my e-mail at least once daily because I understand how immediate spiritual crises can be, and I would like to get back to you as soon as possible. I must add a disclaimer, which is that I cannot guarantee the confidentiality of your messages since electronic mediums of communication have limited security. However, I will not tell anyone what you share with me without your prior permission.

Well, that is all that I have to share for now. Stick around for future posts.

Take care, and blessings,

Gabriella Claire

“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion–to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of His splendor” (Isaiah 61:1-3).
